Dimash Qudaibergen’s voice transcends genres, styles and boundaries. On the event of the singer’s first Berlin concert on November 14th, a small collection of portraits of this fascinating musician will be shown in an exhibition at the erstererster Pop-up-gallery.
The imagery reflects on the impact beyond the musical phenomenon of Dimash, who, aside from his worldwide concert tours, dedicates his voice to social issues: he is an advocate for peace and learning, a supporter of young talents in music and a promoting figure for his home country Kazakhstan. He has been awarded numerous prizes for his musical accomplishments as well as for his social engagement, among others the appointment as an IOM Goodwill ambassador for the United Nations.
The portraits shift between heroic adoration portraiture and snap shot in mood and size. The medium is traditional oil painting and pencil drawing.
50% of the proceeds from sales will be donated to Kazakh charity. Please come by and give some support!
Gallery opening hours: November 12 - 17th, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., erstererster Galerie, Pappelallee 69, 10437 Berlin
