Under Pressure

Felix works with pressure, using a water jet to shape clay. Lotte focusses on air pressure to push porcelain mass into an innovative mold. Beyond the mutual use of pressure in their designs, both works are connected in their approach towards contemporary design: The “controlled coincidence” blurs the lines between industry and art as it creates (un)foreseeable objects along the way. To both of them as well as in the exhibition, experiments are central and design is understood as a “creation in the process”. Together they seek to push boundaries in working with the exciting material, ceramics.
